My Macbook Pro with OS X Mountain Lion is infested with ads and pop ups. I've tried malware bytes but they are occuring worse than ever. I use Firefox browser. How to get rid of these?

The ads may or may not be caused by anything that an app like Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for Mac can detect.

As a start, do one of two things in Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for Mac (or both if you'd like):

1) Choose Contact Support from the Help menu to send a message to Malwarebytes support

2) Choose Take System Snapshot from the Scanner menu, then copy the full snapshot text and paste it into a message here (if you're comfortable posting information about your system publicly).
