HOw to burn a dvd.

Hi i want to burn an AVI movie file onto a dvd so that it can play on a dvd player.

What program can i use to do this?

Every new Mac comes with iLife (which includes the iDvd application). It's pretty good for basic stuff.

For an .avi you are better off investing in Toast or Popcorn, both of which will do all the work you need to convert the file to a DVD file then burn it with any options you wish.
