Hi all,

I'd like to buy an iPhone for my dad as a gift. He does not live at my address and will not be on my plan. He does NOT currently have ATT so this will be a new account/service for him.

How do I do this? I basically want to pay for the phone (not the service) and have him pay for the monthly service. Or is this impossible and all I can give him is cute little Hallmark card that entitles him to a free iPhone from his favorite son? 🙂

Thanks so much!

-Eric

Go to the Apple store and get an iPhone gift card. It's basically a gift card to the Apple Store in the amount of the iPhone

Ah, the gift that keeps them paying for 2 years. Make sure your dad is okay with the terms of the AT&T plan.
