How to Care for Apple leather bands?

i plan on getting the Apple "Product Red" Ruby Red leather band when my AW arrives but wondering which is the best way to condition and water protect my new leather band?
I really don’t want to use a product that will darken the color like I hear a lot do.
Any advice out there?
