Apple should just go ahead and embrace allowing people to customize their home screen icons if they want. A simple dark mode took WAY too long. This back door work around of having custom icons is just annoying when they can easily implement a few custom icons choices and have them to be toggled in settings. That's like tic tac toe for them to enable.

Does this app tell you a daily false statement?
No, that's a different app. I forget the name, but remember it has lots of orange in it. A year ago they said it would be available in a couple weeks, and this past summer they said it was ready, but it still hasn't been released yet. But I heard it's the best app. Probably the best in the history of apps and no one has ever had a better app. It's going to be Bigly. More than likely, it doesn't exist. ;)

it has nothing to do with trash like what you wrote. Maybe I don't want to eat hamburgers everyday maybe I want the option the have something else. By your logic... you shouldn't be able to change your ringtone, background, or app arrangement, emoji race, etc oh and iOS 14 should have never happened either. Looks like Android. No, it's just more OPTIONS for users. If you don't want them don't use them. Simple as that.

I was happy with the Home Screen in iOS 1. The only thing I have changed since upgrading to iOS 14 is the wallpaper.
don't know if you are joking but I tried to move around some apps and create folders for my parents and they got totally confused - I reverted everything back to the 1 app a time they are used to.

I wouldn't be shocked if 1 of two things happens:

1) Apple realizes this is popular and allows it with future updates

2) Apple kills of this feature in shortcuts.
I vote for #2 - Per Apple, all iPhones must look the same for branding /s

Nope, not joking. Actually, I do use folders (the biggest one being the Apple folder with all the apps I don't use), but I don't intend to use widgets or try to change the way the icons look. For the most part, I avoid downloading apps and instead rely on safari to reach most websites and I don't play games. I have a total of 14 non-Apple apps on my phone.

Some of these are quite creative. Obviously there's a desire for this level of customization. Hopefully Apple realizes it and makes this more seamless in the future, however that might look.

I'm confused, you sound like you criticize my statement, yet you argue in favor of it.

Why does Apple continue to not make Location Services (on|off) available in either the Control Center or in this new, neato "Shortcuts" feature? It's really puzzling.

I'm glad were able to customize iOS a little bit - but hey.. can we get some new ringtones/text tones? It's been what. 7 years since new ones? My god..
