Put simply, i don't use my home directory for saving my video files in, they're on a differnt volume

my sidebar has my videos folder in it so i can find them quickly. (it is there instead of the one in my home directory)

however, the sidebar display that movies folder as a generic blue folder, and it looks pretty lame.

Is it possible to change the icons of non home directory folders in the sidebar to use the home directory folder icons?

i've seen someones screenshot where his sidebar icons were unusual, so i hope its possible.

how do you go about doing it?

Do you mean like this?
I use Candybar.

Yes- just change the folder icon for the original item. Then, if it doesn't refresh in the sidebar, remove it from the sidebar and ad it again.
