Hi, I've just figured out how to put my own icons into different themes, but I can't get the ipod icon to change. I know the camera icon has a different name or something that you need to insert to change it through SSH, so I figure it's the same for the ipod icon.

    Thanks..

Why? I've never had a phone that wasn't able to be customized, and I own the phone, so I can do whatever I like with it. Apple's fault for locking it down.

Attitude? You came into my thread and offered no help, you just brought criticism. That's two posts from you that have nothing to do with the topic.

Since you're not here to help, why do you even bother wasting your time posting?

I could be a jackass, but I see that position is already filled.

    Try here:
    /System/Library/PreferenceBundles/iPodSettings.bundle

There is a file in there called icon.png

I am not 100% sure on this. Make sure you backup this file before replacing it with your new icon. Respring and see if the icon is different.

    Sorry if this is incorrect.

A safer bet is to download a theme and change the ipod icon in that theme folder.

Was I right or did you do something else. It is good to mention what you did in case someone else has this issue and finds this thread.

I just looked at my phone and realized the "P" in iPod was upper case, and changed it in the image name, then SSH'd it again into my phone, and after doing a re-spring, there it was. Now before that I had tried dragging and dropping the new iPod image into the applications folder on the 3 iPod files named "icon-mediaplayer.png", "icon-videoplayer.png", and icon-audioplayer.png" as I read elsewhere you needed to do something like that. It didn't work at the time, so I'm not sure if just correcting the capitalization error did it, or if dragging and dropping the files into the three I listed did. If I change it again I'll see exactly how it worked and post it..
