How to change keyboard input source and spell checker simultaneously

I have searched for this for eons and have never found how to do this.

I use the Spanish keyboard layout and the English keyboard layout. I use command+space to switch between the two - no problem at all.

I write a lot in English and Spanish, and I mean I will chat with someone in Spanish, switch to Mail, write an English e-mail and then switch to another app and type in Spanish. Whenever I do this, I must select Edit -> Spelling -> Spelling... and choose between English and Spanish (I hate spelling mistakes).

What I want to do is a way in which whenever I choose the English keyboard layout, the English spell checker is automatically selected. Likewise, when I select the Spanish keyboard layout, the Spanish spell checker will be selected.

I have looked into Applescript and have found thing like this. If there is any way of doing this, please post!! Thanks.

i've been trying to figure this out as well.
i cant even figure out how to hook up my spanish spell check in entourage or any office app for that matter. would you be so kind as to help me figure this out?

Sure....in any Office app, from the menus on top, just go Tools --> Language...

Select your language, mark as default and you are good to go!! 🙂
