It is too long. Did a google search but got last. Thanks
Guess it was too much trouble to provide enough information to answer your question too
How much more info do you need? [How to change my Email,Gmail Address???
I think what you really need to do is create an absolutely-brand-new Gmail account with the "new address" you wish...
Change it where? (With Google, as your Apple ID, within Apple Mail, there are a host of things you *could* be talking about)
Change it with Google?
You will need to create a new one and forward the old one to it
Not rocket science
There is no way I have ever seen to change a GMail address. If you want a shorter GMail address you will need to make a new account.
I'm still trying to figure out what he ask.
Because you can't create aliases in standard Gmail accounts, creating a new account is the only way. You can leave your old messages in the old account and have both running in Mac Mail (or other email client software).
For a true changeover, I think you'd want, as has been said, to create the new one and set up forwarding at the original address (Gmail website) to the new address. Then you could temporarily have both addresses in Mail and copy the messages from folders on the old account to corresponding folders in the new account. Once the copying is done, you could remove the old account from Mail.
Contacts and Calendars would have to be dealt with separately.
What is difficult to understand. OP explained he wants to change an existing GMail address because it is too long. Seems clear to me.
I am more puzzled about what this has to do with the Macbook Pro?
Will OP elaborate on that?
ohh and as the others have said, you can't change you current gmail, you will need to make a new one.
