Has anyone been able to figure out how to change the SMS vibration patterns for iOS 4.0? I want to make it so that I have 3 short vibrations when I get an SMS. Ive tried using the methods for previous firmwares going into the private frameworks and changing the systemsoundvibrationpatterns.plist and adding the SMSReceived_Alert and it doesn't seem to be working. If I mess with the default vibrations it changes vibrations not just for SMS but for email and everything as well. I tried finding where you could change the SMS alerts on my phone but I've had no luck.

There is one app that will give you the ability to change the vibrate patterns. It is called "Mobile Profiles". It is not a free app, I think it costs $5 or so. It has a LOT of features. When I tried it, I only wanted to use the vibrate patterns and found it a little cumbersome because of some other added features (or my lack of patients at the time), but this was many many months ago. Maybe there have been some updates? I have never tried it on iOS IP4, maybe I will go give it another shot.

There used to be an app called "SMS Vibration Boost" but i cant seem to find it in cydia anymore.
Try adding all the old sources you had. I saw it before too btu I think it was on like podulo or another piracy one. PS, i dont condone piracy, i used to(pirate) but dont anymore haha
try this, change the durations as you'd like them. i have default set for 3 vis, new mail 2, and sms 5 -

ok, figured it out - SMSReceived changes the vibration pattern while in the SMS app, and SMSReceived_Alert changes when everywhere else (home screen, etc) when a popup alert comes. So, in order to change for all, you need to add sections to the plist for both. it didn't seem like it worked for me before, because my first test was in the sms app, then 2nd was at the home screen. all worked out now.
Also, you need to reboot after copying the new plist in to get it to work.

i cannot find asvibra under cydia, can you please tell me the repo which it was installed from? thanks!
and this will work on iphone 4? can you have both asvibra and asvibra2 installed at once for a 3 long buz vibrate? tia.
I installed asVibra2 last night and it's working fine on my iPhone4. I don't think you can have both installed though. Either one or the other.

sure not a problem.. go into cydia. hit manage. hit sources. hit edit (top left). hit add(top right) then after http:// type in apt.iphone-storage.de
hit add source. let it update and blah blah. mine kind of froze when the blue bar was full so if that happens to you just press home button and relaunch cydia. then go to search and type in asvibra.
every package(app) needs to be downloaded from a dev (source, or repo)

Yea that happend to mine, so I uninstalled that repo that was made to fix FaceTime and MMS. After that I restarted and my text was normal again.
