The reason I'm wondering is sometimes I receive texts that seem like they are a mass text but I'm not sure if they are or not (for example stupid fwd type pictures). I don't wanna reply if it's a mass text. I guess what I should have asked is, is there a way to tell if a text was sent to anyone else than yourself?
Kind of? I had this weird thing yesterday where someone sent me and a few others a picture. For some reason, my phone displayed the response of another person. It was really weird.
I got a text from a guy friend of mine on valentine's day... something flirty and stupid, but I saw that it was a mass text because I could see everyone else he sent it to. Without being careful, I sent a text back saying he was busted - but it went to all the girls. I got texts and call for days from these chicks asking who the hell I was. Yeesh.![]()
How were you able to tell it was a mass text? This is what I'm trying to figure out. Every time I get a mass text on my iPhone it just shows up as a regular text.

If you turn off group messaging in Settings would that prevent mass mailings??![]()
If you click on the top of the text message where it says TO:
And then click details it should list all the recipients.
Some phones or networks might send them different but if send from an iphone you could see the list of phone numbers that it was send to.
if you look at the details of the message you can see every number the original text was sent to
I don't get where I would click details at. Here is a mass MMS I received the other day, It only gives me the option to start typing a reply like any other text message.
