Hi, I have just upgrade from my 13" in my sig to a new 15" 8/256/2.0
How do I check which manufacturer the screen is from?
I have tried "ioreg -lw0 | grep \"EDID\" | sed "/[^<]*</s///" | xxd -p -r | strings -6" but it shows nothing! It did show "Color LCD" the first time I ran it.
Is there another command?

The Setting>Display>Colour>Profiles>Colour>17 mmod shows
Manufacturer 00000610
Model 0000A022
Manufacture Date CD238700

What is that?

It appears that I have a Samsung screen then.
At the moment no signs of IR or yellowing 😀

I just had a screen replacement on my rMBP at weekend.
I got a most unexpected result when I looked at its details 😱
I know it's a LG - SJA2 but it doesn't say that
Code:
mike-pc:~ Mike$ ioreg -lw0 | grep \"EDID\" | sed "/[^<]*</s///" | xxd -p -r | strings -6
Color LCD
LP154WT1-SJA2
