Ok this left my a bit confused, but have a look here. AliExpress have so many options & are so cheap, that you don’t need to risk paying a huge amount…between thinner case and thicker case I'll prefer thicker case

Thinner cases are mainly for scratch protection, but if your hands are big enough, having a thin case can provide a better grip thereby reducing the case of you dropping your phone, so some people find this balance & are happy with it.
