How to clean the iPhone X chrome bezel?

I bought the grey iPhone X and my mate bought the silver version.

Mine is fine, but the chrome bezel on his already looks slightly scratched.

Can anybody suggest a way to polish the blemishes out?

I believe the silver chrome Apple Watch also suffers the same problem.

Steel wool and toothpaste, rub it all over to get a brushed stainless steel look.

Second these. I used these on a stainless steel Apple Watch about once a month and every time it returned the finish to a mega-polished shine. I have a tub on the way for my X.

OBTW, if I'm not mistaken, the bezels/frame are polished SS not chrome.
