How to clear editor text?

The new software seems to save un-submitted posts in the editor.

How do I forcefully clear them? It has been bugging out on me lately and I keep seeing the same post over and over so I have to clear it, THEN write one.

On iPhone one has to turn the phone into landscape to see the floppy disk icon. (There’s enough room to display it in portrait mode though)

Strangely I don't see that icon at all in portrait or landscape in Safari on iPhone 7 (running iOS 13.5.1).

I don't see it either in landscape on my iPhone xR (13.5.1) and it's a feature I use often on
my iPad.

^ That screen shot looks like the text-entry box might not be wrapping the icons correctly.

The Drafts icon should be between the paired circle-arrows and the gear. On a platform with a pointer (Mac, or iOS with a trackpad, maybe), hovering over the icon will present a tooltip that says "Drafts".


The gear alignment below the 1st icon (Remove Formatting) suggests that the left side isn't hiding anything. The right side I'm less sure about. The Drafts icon might be to the right of the circled-arrows. If you tap there, does it bring up the popup menu for choosing Save or Delete Draft?

Or the problem may be a side effect of one's chosen layout preference: Fluid vs. Fluid HD. That choice should be at the bottom left corner of the page showing the thread.

One could also try scaling up/down (the small-A large-A tool) in iOS Safari, to see if it affects the text-entry toolbar.

Thanks for providing some potential things to look into. I tried playing around with some options and making sure that nothing is scaled, but for some reason that draft icon isn't showing up in Safari on my iPhone 7 (in portrait or landscape mode).
