How To Colorize A Certain Item In Photoshop

Hey people. I was wondering how to add color to only a certain item in a photoshop using Photoshop because I think it looks really, really cool! You guys probably know what I'm talking about but this is an example:

Can someone teach me how to do this? Say I have a full color wallpaper and I want it to be all black & white, but only have a colored red car in the distance. Teach meh'!

Not a fan of the camera flash reflected in the screen, but the colorizing is nice. Amazing how so little color can look so cool...
