I have time machine and I made two partition on it. One for data and other for music and movies. I want to combine them and use one.

Everytime, I try to use Disk Utility it tells me something like boot scheme and it cant be done.

Is there a way? I do not care about saving my music and movies.

iPartition works great for these types of situations. Its a commercial product so you'll need to be willing to buy it, but if you frequently need to change partitions, w/o wiping out data, then this is your puppy.

If you go to just one partition, Time machine will eventually fill the disk. This means you won't be able to add anymore data files to the disk like you do now. With 2 partitions, you have guaranted space on the data partition to hold your data files.
