ok, i have a 14 second .mov file that is pretty big(170 meg), if i convert it to a flv or a f4v it looks great and is about 5 meg.

but when i tried reducing the quality on the .mov, it did shrink, but its still over 50 meg,

is there a trick to getting a .mov to a smaller size that still looks good?

It's all in the codec you use.

You have to Export it, and not use save as.

Use the .h264 codec and aac for audio and the file will be small.

Also change the image quality to best, and see how big the file is and if it is enough for you. By decreasing the image quality you also decrease the file size.
