I would like ask, how to congigure te second port of MacPro. I try to connect NAS - network storage directly to the second port, the network status of the second port is OK, but the storage is not accesible. May me the IP address of the second port the same as the first, may be the second port configured on the seme network ??? Is necessary to aggregate the ports ? Please help.

If your going through a standard router, you should have a different IP address.

What's your goal? To isolate the NAS to Mac Pro connection?

With Gigabit ethernet I wouldn't even bother unless you know you have a bandwidth issue. Also, unless your going through a switch, the rest of the network still competes with the NAS traffic going across the lan, which defeats the purpose of the second lan connection.

Some OS's allow two cards to act as one, although I'm not sure if OS X does (don't know enough about administration to tell you).
