Step 1 ... use remote app on watch
Step 2 ... profit

But seriously, they need to add volume controls to the app so I can toss the Siri remote into the sun!

If they would only add volume control...

Yes! Once again, as with the ATV remote, NO MUTE BUTTON!! (Sorry about yelling, just had to get it off my chest.)

Arrrgggh! I love ATV, and I do appreciate the minimalist approach the designers used, but bc there is not mute button — the most important button ever invented! — I have to have at least two remotes around. Oh sure, you can tap tap tap and hold down the Vol Up/Down button, but really?

When a commercial comes on, I want to Mute! Fast. But alas, no.

Also, my ATV is connected via hard wire to my router, which is faster than my Apple wireless router, so no go unless I reconfigure the ATV.

Disappointed (again) about the lack of mute.

Still love the AW4, though, for other reasons.

Meh. I will be more impressed when Apple gives you the option to say Hey Siri. And command your Apple TV without using any remote etc. Amazing that a company like Apple hasn’t figured this one out.

When will Apple redesign the remote app? Now you always need to have your tv on when trying to change stations with internetradio. The screen of the Apple TV should be on the remote app, so you see what you’re doing.

Uhhh what about using Siri with your Apple watch for voice commands exactly like the remote? Apple cant slice it, they dont know how to do this without it interfering with regular Siri, so you are stuck with the remote if you want to use Siri on your Apple TV Gen 4.

If I am wrong let me know.

Right so basically we cant use our Watches for voice control on ATV?

I rarely use Siri. She’s worthless to me.
