Anyone know why my Cmd-Shift-4 is now defaulting to window instead of selection? I have to tap the spacebar to get the crosshairs back -- it's the opposite of the default behavior!

Thanks for any insight...

Is there any way to keep the pop-up appearing for 5 seconds in the lower right hand corner of the screen every time I want to do a simple save to the desktop? I don't want to have to wait for the popup to go away - it never appeared before they "updated" our options. You would just do CMD-SHIFT-F3 and it would show up where you intended to save it (in my case, on the Desktop).

Thanks in advance,

Rob

Never mind...I found the answer. You can choose to not show the "floating thumbnail" by clicking on Options in the control bar that pops up when the onscreen capture control box pops up.

Thanks for that tip.

It took me a moment to figure out what you said. I'm so used to hitting shift+cmd+4 that I forgot about the pop-up which appears when using shift+cmd+5.

Happily now the thumbnail floater is disabled. It's the little things!

This might come in handy, is there a way to switch the color profile of screenshots in a similar way?
The native screen capture tool always modifies the colors of it (looks faded out) when pasting back.
If I save the image, convert to jpg and send that instead then it looks correct.
