Hi all. Anyone know how to convert CAF sound files to AIFF or MP3? I tried exporting with QuickTime but there are no options to change the file.

Using 10.14.2.

Thanks!

Easy:
"All2MP3"

BUT - WARNING WARNING WARNING
DON'T download All2MP3 from the original source, because they "package it" along with crapware that will also install. Why they do this, I don't know.
Again, DO NOT download from here:
https://tresrrr.com

DO get a slightly older version of All2MP3 from here:
http://www.tucows.com/preview/753945/All2MP3
The above URL will download the app and NO "crapware" along with it.

All2MP3 works GREAT for converting all kinds of files to mp3.
Be sure to select the highest quality output before you convert.

I also use "All2MP3" and it works on Mojave 10.4.3 - great and easy to use

For batch converstions and a wider range of conversion formats another favorite of mine is MAX - Link to Web Page

It is no longer being maintained by the developer - but it works fine for me on 10.4.3

Do you require .mp3 or will .m4a work? I was able to Export > Audio Only via QuickTime to .m4a with no problem.

The most versatile app for audio conversion is "XLD" . It reads & converts all sound file formats I know (some of them are unreadable by VLC).
It's free (donation accepted). Don't be frightened by the optional "console mode", as the app offers a spartan but clear & easy interface.
It's 64bits now: https://tmkk.undo.jp/xld/index_e.html
