a lot of people ask this...and it took me a while to find the right combo of programs to make it work...so i thought i would share the knowledge:

How to convert a swf file into a quicktime movie:

you will need two pieces of software for the conversion
WireTap
http://www.ambrosiasw.com/utilities/freebies/

for recording audio directly from the swf

Perian for the software that lets quicktime open swf directly (no audio)
http://perian.org/

the process:
with Perian installed you can open a swf directly from quicktime (drag the swf over your quicktime icon). The file will then simply open as a quicktime movie. Save this.

now for the audio:
open wiretap...this program will record the audio directly from the software, preserving the quality. With wiretap open, start recording. Open up the swf and play it. When finished, save the audio file in wire tap as a AIFF (good quality).

This file is then opened in quicktime. Here you must crop out the additional time in the beginning and perhaps at the end so that the audio time matches the time of the movie.

paste the movie into the audio file using the:
add selection and scale menu item....and you now have a quicktime movie

Thanks for your guide.
I am now using iWisoft swf to mov converter to do the trick.
It is prettty well too.
