I recently bought a new iPad mini 6 and was disappointed to find out that the model only comes with black bezels, causing the screen to appear smaller than my old iPad mini 2 with a white surrounding. What can I use to cover the black bezels to make it look like the attached image? Thanks in advance.

Leaving it in the sun for about a decade would do the trick, although the color would vere on the yellowish.

I don't quite follow how black bezels make the screen look smaller?

It’s a trick of the eye/brain interpretation.
Light colors, especially white, make items appear larger, while dark colors, or black, make things appear smaller.
In actuality, there is no size difference.

Yes, that’s right, thank you for your clarification. I can’t find any stickers to cover the bezels on the Internet so I decided to ask for some advice here.

I doubt you will find anything honestly. The Mini 5 had some versions with white bezels but due to it primarily being a consumption device it was common for the black bezel/space gray model to be the main seller. Then when Apple introduced the iMac 24” with white bezels people freaked out about that as well and while I don’t mind it, once again, the masses let it be known they disliked white bezels.

That said, I highly doubt you’ll see an iPad with white bezels again given its purpose and I can almost guarantee there’s very little demand for a decal. Manufacturing a decal for a very thin bezel that could possibly interfere with touch controls leading to returns and customer complaints mean it’s not worth the time/effort to produce.

If you want white bezels get a iPad Mini 5 in either silver or gold.

I actually think white bezels make the screen look smaller unless the screen is constantly displaying mainly white colors. Otherwise, the white bezels contrasted with the darker colors on the screen will emphasize the size of the screen within the bezels. On the other hand, black bezels will blend in more with the screen and make the size of the entire device more like the screen.

And then if you stick something on the bezels to make it white you are going to feel the slight raise constantly. It will be incredibly jarring to look at and annoying to feel.

Up until the current body style even the iPad Pros also came in a white version so I don't think it was an iMac reaction or Pro vs Consumption thing. Apple just decided that it would be black bezel only; despite my usually having white bezel iPads, I can only assume that the sales numbers say that black sells significantly more.

I'm another fan of white bezels. Maybe it's a nostalgia thing for the days of old iPods and things like the iBook laptops, but I've always associated the white accents with Apple—the devices with black accents just look more generic to me. I LOVE the look of the new iMac and was really disappointed when the rumors of a new MacBook Air with white bezels and a white keyboard turned out to be wrong. I'd give anything for a green or orange and white MacBook. Along those same lines, I think the white Magic Keyboard looks much nicer than the black, but with the iPad's black bezels, the combination looks wrong, so I'm stuck with space gray/black. If they released a new iPad Pro/Air with white bezels, I'd buy it and a white Magic Keyboard in a heartbeat.

Wondering why is it important how it appears? Isn't what it actually is that counts? When viewing, the size of content will be exactly the same with white or black bezel.
I guess like shaving in that the hair doesn't really grow back thicker, but if it looks thicker, then there's the same problem in the end? though I am personally a white bezels hater and feel like it makes things seem more condensed, so I don't personally understand.

I don't own one as they're fairly pricey but I know something like a cricut will cut stickers.. You could try looking up someone who makes custom designs on etsy? would take some work of measuring and everything but that's my only idea 🤷‍♀️
