Per the title. I would like to create an .img of a SanDisk MicroSDXC card. I will need to burn this to another MicroSDXC card and be able to post the image on my Google Drive.

This is on my Studio M4 Max, so plenty of ports.

If this request is a better fit in another board, let me know and I will move it to that board.

Thanks, everyone.

So you're sure you need a .img file?
Standard disk image file on mac nowadays is .dmg.
.img is kind of old.

Disk Utilities lets you create .dmg easily.

Yep, I had .img on my mind because I am used to dealing with a Linux box. The SD has some corrupt files that needed recovery. I will take a look at DU and see about it, I had not thought of that.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice.

Do you mean a raw ISO? I believe DU's "DVD/CR master" (.cdr) file is the same.

You may want to look into ddrescue, it's designed for creating disk images (raw, ISO) of disks that may have corruption, especially if they get stuck reading certain blocks.
