    Customize MacBook Pro 13" 2011, 128GB SSD, 8GB Ram.
Thought I might show some neat pictures of my MacBook Pro and have some sense of idea if you wanna make yours unique. Reason why I wanted to do this is because there's too many people that have that dull silver color of the MacBook (not that I don't like the silver aluminium, but I just prefer the color taste), I just wished that you could add some colors or have fun with it. So I basically did research and bought stickers and covered my MacBook Pro.
EXTREMELY HARD to put the stickers on the way you like it, but in the end, it was all worth the effort.

BEST PART: PROTECT FROM MINIOR SCRATCHES.

    Items Purchased:
    - Silicon Yellow Keyboard, $2
    - Carbon Fiber Full Body Sticker, $25
    - MacBook Pro Wrap, $10
    - Yellow / Red Apple Logo, $5

Total Cost: $42 with tax and shipping.
Originally... if I havent surf around and finding/making deals with the sellers, this would of easily ended with $100+.
Even the Carbon Fiber on Phantom Skinz cost $79.95.
Just look around, especially eBay and ETSY to find what you're looking for.

    - Edit - Also, the sticker won't leave any nasty sticky stuff on your MacBook Pro when it is time to peel it off or place a new one on there. It also keeps my MacBook somewhat rainproof or if I accidentally spill water, my Silicon Keyboard will stop the water from entering the machine. It is also very easy to change the color since I bought 2 colors. I also got the Red Keyboard and Red Wrap, so if I want to change it to a red color, I just peel some stickers on and snap on some new one. Simple as that.

    So, what you guys think?

I think the keyboard would look better black but that's definitely something unique you did that. Pretty cool.

Now that I look at it again, the black and yellow reminds me of a Ferrari. :D

Yellow reminds me of a taxi or school bus but never mind that.

    Thanks
I might change it around a bit.
I got Orange, Red, and Lime Green colors to match with the black.
Maybe I'll switch it off once every while or so.

^^ This guy is probably old

I Looooove it! Dude this is legit sick looking! I was perusing colorware to color my Macbook but didnt want to pay $500 just to have it customized. I want to make a cherry red, cyan blue, and bright white customization!

my only question is what is a macbook pro wrap? like from zagg?

although it prolly would look as BA on a MBP 15" because of the speakers :(

    Kind of like this.
But you have to surf the web for it somewhere.
This one doesn't have a SD slot like mine, so you need to watch carefully.

Oh yeah... probably 45mins - 60mins to put all the stickers the "right" places that I want them. It was also a pain that when you accidentally "stretch" them, they get bigger and longer, so I had to peel the whole thing off and try to match the sides once again.
If you see the laptop in person, you'll see the sticker isn't perfect but from a distance, it looks like you actually painted your laptop.
But hey, it keeps it somewhat rainproof/spillproof and scratchproof, so I'm cool.

I don't see how the keyboard stickers keep it any more water proof? From the picture it looks as if they only cover the top of each key, and don't form any kind of barrier?

Not really my thing, but as long as you like it.

    Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8C148a Safari/6533.18.5)

It's not a sticker keyboard, it's a rubber silicon keyboard that protects the entire keyboard from water entering the system.

black and yellow. you must be from philly.

i dont like the color but the idea is awesome! im just going for the easy way and buying a speck satin case, all black. a leather palm pad, and a moshi clear keyboard protector.

you can view them here: (its a wishlist until next month when i make my MBP purchase.
