I'm fairly certain that will happen to me too when I inevitably get them. It's not just you, but after I had them for a couple days the utility so far outweighed the fashion I completely quit caring.

Set it to previous track. That’s how all podcast players interpret back / forward. I have mine set to next track, and with a few taps I have skipped ahead of the commercials in a podcast. Easy.would love one more:
Jump back 15 seconds
(I listent to a lot of podcasts and audible.com)
I’m guessing you haven’t updated the firmware on your AirPods?I must be blind, I don't see this option at all in iOS 11.
I just updated to iOS 11 and I heard about how you can change the double-tap setting in iOS 11 to "Skip/Next". In my settings, I don't see that option at all.

Anyone else see this?
Hey guys!
I bought an AirPods and i run ios11 on iPhone7, but i cant use this new functions. In bluetooth settings is only visible the old way of setting AirPod (Siri/Play and Pause/Off)
Can someone help me?
I have the exact same problem. I believe I am on the latest firmware for my AirPods? I attached the screenshots of the options I have as well as the firmware version of my AirPods. I miss “it just works.”
I really hope they create a volume up and volume down control while tapping. Double tap my left ear, and volume goes down. Double tap the right, and it goes up. It would be really simple and way better than barking at Siri to control the volume.
