That will still happen. But now you will also accidentally long press the lock screen into lock screen customization mode. Enjoy. Thanks God! The days when I used to accidentally swipe left on the lock screen and activate the camera are over!

You're lucky they didn't make it come in vertically from the left.I've been using the beta for 24 hours now, and I have to say, it's one of the best iOS updates in recent memory. I love almost everything except for the notifications coming through on the bottom. I don't know if it's something I'll get used to, but I hate it right now.
I’m sure many people would like to enjoy their background pictures. But for me, and I’m sure I’m not alone as I can’t be the only “productivity first” person here, I use a black background wallpaper and I’d like to maximize the number of widgets I use.Or rather it's a design meant so that people can enjoy the background picture selected.
This. Paragraphs and paragraphs from Apple and article after article from everyone about the Lock Screen. Glad it’s getting some attention, sure. But not one word about the Home Screen, which is still stuck a decade in the past.I'm sure a lot of the drama is due to it being Beta1...but the Home Screen is all but forgotten...its a tad clunky to try and customize the background after you select the Lock Screen.
Well, it'd be nice if we could have that option, for those who elect to not really have a background picture, and go for function over form.Or rather it's a design meant so that people can enjoy the background picture selected.
Rather disable the camera icon at the button - customization highly neededThe only thing I wonder is, could the swipe-left-open-camera feature be disabled?
The worst time font selection in the history of fonts
Anecdotally, this got much worse after the exclusion of 3D touch. It looks very complicated and too much yet it is very simple. It's crazy.
Hopefully Apple will let us customize the lock screen bottom buttons as well. Sometimes, I find myself turning on the flash light by accident. So, I definitely don't want that.
Also, assuming that this is getting things ready for an always-on display for the next iPhone, many people are going to want that black lock/home screen to [theoretically] minimise the impact on battery life.I’m sure many people would like to enjoy their background pictures. But for me, and I’m sure I’m not alone as I can’t be the only “productivity first” person here, I use a black background wallpaper and I’d like to maximize the number of widgets I use.
I agree!!!!!!!!Still it’s sort of a mess when you go to wallpapers in system preferences. Hope it gets sorted out in subsequent betas. And allow me a smaller font for the time please!!!
”More font selection” doesn’t really fall in the Apple M.O. I’ll believe it when I see it, but I expect they will stretch the existing watchOS fonts out over a few years so they can have ”new fonts” on every major iOS release. They don’t WANT to give us options but they will slightly bow to overwhelming pressure from the users.Well, there are plenty of options available and you can customize it the way you want to. I'm sure Apple will be offering more font selection in future beta releases. This is just beta 1. Long way to go!
Sorry, Apple knows best. You don't know what works for you like Tim Apple does.Still it’s sort of a mess when you go to wallpapers in system preferences. Hope it gets sorted out in subsequent betas. And allow me a smaller font for the time please!!!
If farting triggers a gesture on your phone, you are *definitely* holding it wrong.Eventually every time you swipe, tap, touch, long touch, shake, tilt, breathe, don't breathe, fall, stand up, look, wink, fart...some gesture is gonna get triggered.
🤦♂️Sorry, Apple knows best. You don't know what works for you like Tim Apple does.
