I found a bunch of large hidden video files that I want to delete but can't. Any suggestions how this can be done are appreciated.

There is no information on where these files are located when I go into Get Info.

    Thank you for looking.

OmniDiskSweeper should make quick work of that deletion task...

OminDiskSweeper is a nice program but it didn't find the hidden files I wanted to delete.

Any suggestions on how to delete them are appreciated.

    In terminal:
    Code:
    sudo rm
then type a space and then fresh the file in you want to delete (or all of them at once would work too).

Thank you Manic Harmonic. Do I need to tell after RM what directory they are located in? If so, I have no idea what that would be located.

sudo rm <drag file from finder to Terminal>. It should automatically populate the filename and location.

    DaisyDisk

    Just use DaisyDisk.

    Very userfriendly, clean and smooth.

Thanks. Please add a screenshot of the Info window for one of the two files.

I'll second this method, works for me very well.
just remember the 'space' after 'rm' before you drag.

Thank you all for your help. I downloaded both Disk Xray and DaisyDisk. Wow, they are both great programs.

I was able to delete the files I needed and know the laptop has much more free space.

May you all have a safe holiday season!

    My suggestion:
    1. Download "Pathfinder". I believe it is free to download, and free to use for 30 days.
    2. In the Pathfinder window, select the option to show invisible files.
    3. You should now be able to see ALL previously-invisible files and folders.
    4. Navigate to where the files are that you want to get rid of.
    5. Try either of Pathfinder's delete options -- "Delete" or "Secure Delete".

    What happens?
