I'm a new mac user so if I sound naive, it's because I am.

I know this an old, old thread but I'm responding because I was looking for the same answer to this question. Hopefully if someone else is searching someday (many years from now) they will find this and it may help.

The way I deleted a "user" background from photobooth was to select the user background picture and hit the delete key. I know it sounds simple enough but it really wasnt. You would think one would go to the upper menu somewhere and select "delete" but it is not available and you cant drag the picture to the trash either.

The original thread for this was started over two years ago and now we have snow leopard but the problem apparently still exists. Eric, if your still around, this is in response to you question. I'm sure you figured it by now.:)

    Cheers.
