How to delete third party remote? (ATV 4)

Want to re-set up my learning remote, but it insists the down button has already been programmed and won't let me program it again.

Apple's site claims I can delete the remote if that happens, but I see no way to do that.

No, there is no place in Settings | Remotes and Devices where I can remove a learned remote.

Maybe just reset your ATV4 as 'new' and start over, probably less time consuming.
