There is a little known feature in the Workout app in Apple Watch whereby you can create segments of your workout, akin to stages or splits, simply by double tapping on the workout screen of the watch while the app is running.

The problem I am facing is that I frequently activated the segment function accidentally. I want to find a way to delete the segment from the watch or from the Health or Activity app.

Does anyone know how to do this? I can't seem to find a way to do this.... Please help!

While I am not 100% sure, I don't think you are able to edit workout that has already been recorded.

This is most disappointing if true. Thanks for the tip, coldwaves.

Anyone else chime in to confirm, please?

I had a look and could not find an option. I didn't know that feature even existed until this thread.

Do these Segments store for future workouts? If I make a segment and then run it again, does it store it? Or do I need to do it manually every time?

This seems like a bad version of Strave segments.

I don't think so. This function basically just lets you create a split so you know your time and pace for this particular segment of time or route. It is not saved as a route for future use. It is not like a Strava route that you can load to your device to follow for future workout.
