I wonder if someone has experience to deploy a big number of iPads at the same time for a company or school.

Any experience or hints how to initialize 1000 iPads ? Or more. They all would need some initial setup with profiles, apps etc. Or is it better to just give the device and a detailed instruction set to user ?

The most important thing when deploying that many iPads is utilizing devices that sync and charge them. 1000 iPads would be nearly impossible to manage without such devices. There are carts available that store and secure the iPads while syncing and charging them, there are smaller devices that sync up to 49 iPads, portable devices that sync and charge up to 16 iPads...you get the picture. I'd recommend checking out www.ipadcarts.com to see what they have to offer. Syncing and charging that many iPads manually sounds like a terror.
