hey all,

how do you detach the power chord from the macbook pro. its the one that sticks with the magnet.

Just pull it out, it takes a bit more force than I initially thought it would, which is good IMHO, but yeah, just tug on it.
 
I find the easiest (and most logical) way to remove the cord is to pull up on the connector. The easiest way to detach magnets is at an angle not straight out.

Cosign, I grab it by the actually retengular part, not the cord and i tilt it upwards and pull it from an angle.
 
I tend to agree with the person that said pull up... I find that the easiest way I've found to remove it is to grab the hard plastic and either lift it up, or push it down.
 
As said, I lift the power chord vertically upwards and it just unpops itself. You shouldn't pull it straight out, that's how you damage the powerchord.

Very simple really - lift upwards and it comes out itself.
