I'm still trying to figure out why my per-app battery stats keep vanishing. Usage times are not affected.... just the battery percentages disappear. They eventually come back but it can take days but I can't find any cause and effect relationship yet. One possible explanation that was mentioned is a respring. So how do you tell if a respring happened while you were not looking at the phone? Is there any way to tell?

Should have a crash log when that happens in Settings > Privacy > Analytics. Problem is, need to sift through them all to find right one (not sure if will have Springboard in log file name).

You can check the logs for springboard or system-ui resets under Settings->Privacy->Analytics->Analytics Data.

re-spring?
is there an application or situation that draws too much current . The battery voltage falls due to high current draw?

I had a look at one of the logs. It had quite a few entries containing the word "springboard" but they looked pretty mundane. I didn't notice anything that said (or even implied) "reset". Is there something in particular I should look for?

Note that this is mostly academic.... I'm just trying to see if I can figure out why my per-app battery percentages go missing. This behavior has been reported many times in many forums but so far no one has come up with a real explanation other than speculation.

when your battery stats gone meaning it respring so make sure your iphone always 98% charge or higher so you would know.
Sorry, I'm afraid that didn't make a lot of sense to me. Could you 'splain a bit more in depth?

I can't remember the exact name of the log but if you do a hard reset, it'll create a "reset" log in Analytics. The other thing you can do is a sysdiagnose on iOS but you need to be a developer and load the profile for it.

Also, you shouldn't have a lot of springboard logs unless something is awry. I would consider doing a reset all settings to see if the errors stop.
