Hi, does anyone know how to disable the ESC key when working in full screen mode?

I hit ESC by accident when working on Excel and it quits full screen every time.... I don't seem to find the shortcuts in the keyboard settings.

HELP!

One solution, IIRC you get to press ESC for other reasons while using Excel, would be to fill screen (drag window to full screen size), and not use that last piece of the full screen.
I realize, not a perfect solution, but would eliminate accidentally leaving full screen.

You could also turn on the setting to Automatically Hide and Show the Menu Bar, in System Preferences/General pane, and also hide the Dock. The combination would give you the full screen space, and the accidental ESC would no longer be an issue.

Delta... although this is a solution, I rather work on the full-screen mode for the organized perspective it gives, besides, I use the "home screen" for other purposes while working. I've failed so far seeking solutions with an external app called Karabiner (which brings a solution for disabling the "exit full screen mode" ESC command for SAFARI only); and, reassigning the shortcut at SYSTEMS PREFERENCES>KEYBOARD>SHORCUTS>APP SHORTCUTS but the latter fails to provide me with the apps shortcuts to be reassigned (as per image below). I'm using High Sierra 10.13.6...help..........

What I do sometimes to avoid this is if you hold down the option key, the green 'full screen' traffic light button changes to a + sign. It then (normally) maximises the window without going full screen.

But I am look for a solution to disabling escape. I like full screen apps and working across multiple spaces. You have to use escape in many apps and if you hit it one time too many (oh so easy with the awful Touch Bar), you find it jumping out of full screen all the time. So annoying.
