okay, im a new switcher and find that mac is really cool :) And this is a really basic question. im curious on how to capture the screen, i've tried command control 3, and i can hear a sound like camera capturing. But where does it save the image? Or is it just copy the screen, but i can't paste it anywhere, can anyone help :)

It saves it to your desktop... just look there.

Other options include ⌘-shift-4 for selecting areas.

Also see here for how to capture a window, and the shortcuts are mentioned in System Preferences...->Keybiard & Mouse->Keyboard Shortcuts.

Okay, yes it's actually in my desktop, it's weird because it wasnt there. I just did a software update and that need me to restart my mac. I restarted, and after booting, my desktop have the screen shot i captured before.. That's weird. Now, if i do command control 3, the file will be in the desktop directly. Thanks :)
