How To Download Contacts To iPhone Using iTunes in Mavericks?

Solved it! Simple.

in the MacBook contacts list select all

Export Vcards

Email that file.

Open in iPhone Mail. Hey presto!

On Mavericks I don't have an option to export to a CSV file - only 'vcards', 'pdf' or 'archive' are the export choices.

command-a to select all the contacts then export as a vcard and it will work the same way. Just email the vcard to your phone and when you open it it will import.

Easiest way is to use iCloud. Set up and iCloud account on your phone and enable contacts syncing. Then sync your Mac with your iCloud account as shown here: http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/mac.html, and enable contact syncing.

Please don't tell me we have to use iCloud. I don't want my address book in the cloud.

Easiest way is to use iCloud.

Thing is the OP on this admittedly very old thread said they do not want to use iCloud.
