I have had a huge problem with this! Why can't it be easy? I want to just drag and drop the pictures to an external drive and be able to put them all in one folder one by one.

I tried to back them up and it always makes several dozens of folders and names them all by the date. One time I backed up and it literally made 50 different folders.

Any program that you would recommend to just simply drag and drop the freakin files to an external drive?

Thanks a bunch. PS I use mac OSX

Just create a folder on desktop by year and drop all your monthly folders in it. That's how I do mine.

I can't drop anything though, I have to use iTunes to sync the photos and it just screws them all up.

I just use Image Capture on my Mac and select the photos where I want them to be in my external drive. Had no issues.

Okay cool. I have never used Image Capture or ever heard of it! Crazy! Thanks, I will give it a shot.
