How to edit an Icon?

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but I was wondering how I would ed an icon? I have a folder set that I downloaded from the internet? The download came with an icontainer and a generic set that is just a folder but there is no file inside? If i right click on that folder I can ctl c and ctl v to change another icon to that, but how would I go about editing that folder? In the end I want to add my company logo to the folder I downloaded.
