How to eject CD when I can't start the machine?

Hi,
My Mac computer can't start, so I want to reinstall it. But my problem is there is still a CD on drive and I don't know how to eject it to put installation disk into.
Has anyone can help me solve this problem?

Just hold down your mouse on bootup.

Well, hold down the button on your mouse during bootup.

All kinds of other neat things you can do here ...

You can also hold down the keyboard eject button on startup. Good old paper clip usually works too 😉

well sorry to bring up this old thread, but holding down the mouse button solved this problem for me.......just so you know
