How to Enable or Disable Apple Music's New Release Alerts in iOS

It's great that they have finally added this sort of notification, but how hard is it to just put a "follow" button next to an artist in apple music browser, so I could be notified of only those artists that I'm a fan of? Seriously...

This is what Spotify does.

I suppose the splash screen is rolling out gradually even though the feature can be turned on from Music notification settings...? Has anyone seen the splash screen in their app?

Also, hasn't "New Music" notifications already been around for a while now, and it's just the option to see them in your library that's new? I seem to recall getting notifications once in a blue moon for new releases. I hope this feature pushes notifications for all new releases. And maybe in the near future, they'll add the option to customize which artists we receive notifications for.

This is what I was referring to. I maybe received two or three notifications during the past years that "Artists and Shows" notifications were enabled:

Apple Music has that too — but that's for information in your feed, not about notifications. They are separate as someone may want one (say album release notifications), but not the other (focused content on their feed about the same artists). There are tons of artists I want album release notifications on, but I don't need them on my feed, and vise-versa.

I suppose I would understand the difference better with a screenshot of both options. “New Music” (I assume just a regular push notification) and “Show in Library”

Well, it seems my settings are right, and so far i haven’t got any notification.. (900 artists or so on my library)...

Your Notifications section appears to be missing. Go to Settings > Notifications > Music and make sure you have notifications enabled.

Yes, Notifications are enabled. I'm not sure why this setting is missing from my Account menu within Music...
