I googled this question but couldn't find any app for 10.6.6. to enable single clicking to launch files/apps like in Windows. Does anyone know if there are apps that enable this function?

Also, do you know if there is a shortcut key for Chrome to "Open in New Tab" in the right click menu? In Windows you would hit "T" when right clicking on a link to open the link in a new tab. Thanks.

1) As far as I know, no, that's not possible.

2) Cmd+ click.

Thanks, that was FAST!

The dock is pretty full and I have several apps on the desktop. I also have had RSI in the past and every click counts.

Have you tried putting your applications in stacks on the dock? It would still be two clicks to launch but not a double-click.

I found Quicksilver today, new mac user for three days, greatest thing since sliced bread. spotlite is quick to, cmd + space three letters of app then enter.
