How to enable stage manager?

hey,
how do I enable Stage Manager in Developer Beta on MBP M1 Max? I can't find the setting anywhere. And how do I get to the Stage Manager if it's activated or is it just always on?

You may have 'Displays have separate Spaces' disabled.
