How to erase RW DVD

Howdy Folks:

having a bit of an issue - trying to backup some DVD's - I have Toast Titanium - and a previously recorded disc - i would like to erase and use again

how to?

I just use Disk Utility

Insert the disk, select it, then select erase. Easy as that, if you got a RW that is and it looks as if you do

got so far as the disc utility- but an error keeps occuring - i quess it DOES matter that the material on the disc was writ on a DVD recordable machine- home version - not a computer DVD

anyone have any ideas

You can try erasing from within Toast. I'd love to be more specific, but for some reason Toast is refusing to launch 😕
