how to erase things from an encrypted folder

So, i have an active EAN-128 encrypted folder from witch i need to safely delete some personal files, is simply trashing them and "empty trash secure" enough for them not to be traceable or is there a better way?

Delete the files and then secure empty the trash, it's under the Finder Menu.
