Simple question - new macbook. Old bookmarks. How do I transfer? Is there a "bookmark data" file that I can find and copy and paste? Thanks so much.

It depends on the web browser you're using. Safari allows you to export your Bookmarks to an HTML file that can be reimported on the other system. Firefox 3 also has something similar, but its accessed from inside the Bookmarks viewer. As an alternative, if you have MobileMe you can sync your bookmarks over as well.
