I have a dlink 825 router and it doesn't quite have the range to cover the whole house. what product do i need to get to extend the range ? is there some sort of repeater i can buy ?

Thanks

You CAN buy a repeater, but many times they can be relatively expensive. I suggest finding an old wireless router, something from this list. Then you can flash it with DD-WRT and set it up as a repeater.

Depends on the size and shape of the house, but you could use Ethernet cable to a remote location, then another simple wireless router to act as another wireless access point for the same network. AirPort Express can be ideal for this because of it's size, but there are plenty of cheaper, faster options.
