What do you guys think? I made this.
The video should have better voice quality. It sounds like you are speaking through the phone.
Why is UnrarX better than The Unarchiver or Stuffit?
Personally, I unrar files from the command line.
UnRarX handles password-protected RAR archives the best of the 3.
another vote for unrarx
Unarchiver for me.
I vote for the Unarchiver as well. Never had a problem with it, and it unarchives every single format I throw at it.
Pars and unrars.
MacPAR deLuxe works well if you have PAR files but I've found RAR Expander to be much faster then MacPAR deLuxe and The Unarchiver if you're dealing just with RAR files.
It's like bald people arguing over a comb.
Zipeg has a sheep for an icon and is therefore the clear winner.
Not really. In some cases the programs listed offer 64-bit operation which will have a significant speed increase on systems that support architecture.
Exactly, which is why I choose it.
How To Extract .RAR Files on A Mac
Use StuffIt Expander orRAR Expander
So which ones have the 64 bit support?
check it yourself in Activity Monitor.app it comes with every mac.
I understand that, however activity monitor won't give me any info on software i don't have. I thought there might be a list of 64 bit rar extractor that would alleviate the process of downloading and installing each one just to check activity monitor.
