Is there some equivalent to Version Tracker, but for Windows? There's a ton of free software out there, but I don't know what's good and I know there's bad stuff out there.

Right now what I'm wondering about is of there are any good freeware file recovery programs, to recover deleted files. It's actually for Windows XP and a PC rather than a Mac, but I'm not sure what forum to put it in.

I've used Windows in school, but I've never owned anything with Windows before.

    VersionTracker also covers Windows.

Another good site with reviews is Snapfiles.com

For freeware file recovery, try PC Inspector File Recovery Note, however, that the longer you leave it, the harder it will be to recover files.
